The Banner Wheelchair Suns Basketball Team and the Mesa Association of Sports for the Disabled have formed a partnership to provide basketball skills training and development to wheelchair athletes ages 6 to 21 or graduation from high school.

The intent of the program is to teach young athletes the fundamentals of passing, catching, shooting, dribbling and playing defense.

Potential athletes must be able to catch a basketball bounced from ten feet and chest pass to a partner standing eight feet away.

Adaptations can be made to the height of the basket for our younger athletes.

Practices take place on weekends and weeknights in Mesa. There is no cost for this program.
